Once the Inquisition has moved to Skyhold you can start changing the decor to your liking. There are several categories of items that you can collect and display around Skyhold. Some you will start with, others can be bought, and others you will need to find scattered around the world. This lists the categories of items you can customise and shows where to find the items within each group.
Banners
Andrastian Chantry
Location: Exalted Plains
In a tower in the Eastern Ramparts.
Dalish
Location: Emerald Graves
Look for an empty shack near Argon’s Lodge and search a barrel inside.
Dwarven
Location: Hinterlands
Can be found inside the Vault in Valammar. (Can also be found in the Canyon Tomb in the Hissing Wastes after solving the Veilfire puzzle)
Ferelden
Location: Hinterlands
Inside the Grand Forest Villa.
Free Marches
Location: Hinterlands
When you find Master Dennet in his house, head upstairs and search for the banner.
Inquisition
Location: None
Capture any keep throughout the game.
Circle of Magi
Location: Hinterlands
Can only be found during “In Hushed Whispers” because it is inside Redcliffe Castle, in the Upper Royal Wing.
Orlais
Location: Halamshiral
During “Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts” open the Halla door in the Guest Garden and search inside for the banner.
Templar
Location: Therinfal Redoubt
You can only get this banner if you side with the Templars. During “Champions of the Just” head upstairs in the Great Hall and search a chest.
Tvinter Imperium
Location: Western Approach
Have a rogue unlock a door in the Main Chamber of Still Ruins and find the banner behind it.
Grey Warden
Location: Therinfal Redoubt
You can only get this banner if you side with the Templars. During “Champions of the Just” head upstairs in the Great Hall and search a chest.
Banner Crowns
Andrastian Chantry
Location: Skyhold
You must choose to to build the Chantry Garden.
Dalish
Location: Exalted Plains
Complete “For the Empire”.
Dwarven
Location: Storm Coast
When you find Behemoth at Derwin’s Mouth, look for a room nearby. (Can also be found after solving the Veilfire puzzle in the Burial Grounds tomb.
Fereldan
Location: Crestwood
Head to the East Side Hills andsearch the fisherman’s hut.
Free Marches
Location: Storm Coast
Solve all three astrariums and search inside the astrarium cave.
Inquisition
Location: Capture Caer Bronach, Griffon Wing Keep, Suledin Keep.
Circle of Magi
Location: Skyhold
Choose to build the Mage tower.
Orlais
Location: Emerald Graves
Find the Vault inside Villa Maurel during “Safe Keeping”.
Templar
Location: Skyhold
Choose to build the Templar tower.
Tevinter Imperium
Location: Hissing Wastes
Look for a small camp near the Golden Oasis and search the chest in the camp.
Grey Warden
Location: Forbidden Oasis
Search a barrel near Envers Mining Camp

Complete “Promise of Destruction”
Chasind Throne
Judge the Avvar after completing “Lost Souls”.
Enchanter's Seat
Complete “Bring Me the Heart of Snow White”
Fereldan Throne
Complete “Still Waters” then return to Skyhold to judge Mayor Dedrick.
Inquisition Throne
Automatically unlocked.
Orlesian Throne
Complete “Rocky Rescue” in Empris du Lion then return to Skyhold to judge Mistress Poulin.

Complete “Demands of the Qun”

Completing certain missions on the war table will give you a chance to gain a throne accessory. Complete the missions listed below until it grants you the accessory you are looking for.

Windows
When you reach Skyhold you are automatically given two windows, the Ferelden and Inquisition windows. All other windows can be bought from a merchant in Val Royeaux.
Decor
After completing “Here Lies the Abyss” you will automatically gain all six Decor options.
Drapes
When you reach Skyhold you will have the Basic drapes already. The other fourteen styles can be bought in Val Royeaux.
Beds
When you first reach Skyhold you are given the Free Marches bed. All other are bought from a merchant in Val Royeaux.
