This is a little glitch I have found in Dead Island that makes this incredibly hard game just a little easier. Now, I have only done this on the Xbox 360, and I don’t know if it works on other platforms, but feel free to try it. Obviously substituting the relevant buttons for the corresponding buttons on your chosen platform.
You can duplicate any melee weapon in the game. Simply hold the left trigger to aim your melee weapon like a projectile, then press and hold the right trigger and the Y button at the same time. What this will do, is make your character try and throw and drop his/her weapon at the same time. Consequently, he/she will do both, creating an exact duplicate of the weapon you are holding. The timing can be a little tricky, but its not all that hard to do. What you choose to do with you duplicated weapons is up to you. You can sell them for tonnes of cash or just use them in the field, but no matter what you choose to do, it certainly makes life easier. I don’t know how long it will be before this gets patched by the developers, so make the most of it while you can. Enjoy.
