There are 36 achievements or trophies for Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4. This guide will tell you how to get each one offers tips and tricks to make obtaining them a little easier. Enjoy!
Junior
Complete Year One Story Levels
Complete the year one story, including all six levels, lessons and side quests.
Senior
Complete Year Two Story Levels
Complete the year two story, including all six levels, lessons and side quests.
Prefect
Complete Year Three Story Levels
Complete the year three story, including all six levels, lessons and side quests.
Head Boy
Complete Year Four Story Levels
Complete the year four story, including all six levels, lessons and side quests.
Teacher's Pet
Complete All Story Lessons (Single Player Only)
All of the lessons except one are completed as part of the story. Transfiguration is the only one not included. To find Transfiguration go to the hall that has Defense Against the Dark Arts and Potions and go up the stairs on the right.
In the first classroom you need to Transfigure two animals into each cage. You can then go through the second door on the left and find another classroom. In there you will find three dummy cages and three normal cages opposite them. You must Transfigure three animals into each cage. Make sure a dummy does not reach the cage at the end or it resets the count for that cage.
Story Complete
Complete the Story Levels in all four years
Complete all four stories for years 1-4, including 24 levels and story related side quests and lessons.
Crest Collector
Collect all of the house crests in Year 1
Throughout each level there are four crest parts to collect. When you’ve found all four parts you have completed the crest and earned yourself a gold brick. Complete the crests for all six levels in year one. For help finding all the crests, see our guide here.
Crest Fanatic
Collect all of the house crests in Year 2

Ultra Collector
Collect all of the house crests in Year 3

The Ultimate Collector
Collect all of the house crests in Year 4
Throughout each level there are four crest parts to collect. When you’ve found all four parts you have completed the crest and earned yourself a gold brick. Complete the crests for all six levels in year two. For help finding all the crests, see our guide here.
Power Up
Collect all of the Red Bricks
Within Hogwarts you can find 20 red bricks, which you have to give to a post owl. Post all 20 bricks and buy them from Diagon Alley to unlock this achievement. If you need any help finding all of the red brick, check here for a full list.
The Bonus Level Is Yours
Collect all of the Gold Bricks
There are 200 gold bricks throughout the entire game. You must find all 200 to unlock this achievement. A complete list of gold bricks and where to find them is available here.
Student Rescue
Rescue all students in peril
There are 50 student throughout the game, which have found themselves in a spot of trouble. You can find one student in peril in each level of the game, while others can be found while free roaming around Hogwarts. If you are having trouble finding all 50 student, check here for a complete list.
Stud Magnet
Get True Wizard in every level
Each level in the game has a true wizard meter that will fill as you collect studs. Each level will have a different amount of studs required to fill the meter, with some being harder to achieve than others. If you are struggling to fill your bar, there is a stud magnet you can enable, along with some stud multipliers. To gain these boosts you will need to find their red brick and then purchase them from Diagon Alley. A complete guide on how to find the red bricks can be found here.
You’re The Best
Complete the game to 100%
To get this achievement you need to unlock everything, buy everything and find everything. This includes:
- Complete the story
- Collect all 200 gold bricks
- Find and buy all 20 red bricks
- Rescue 50 students in peril
- Find and buy 167 characters
- Complete 24 house crests
- Achieve true wizard on 24 levels
- Complete all 10 bonus levels within Gringotts
- Complete the bonus level inside Borgin & Burke
Dark Wizards
Buy every version of Voldemort (Quirrell/Tom Riddle/Voldemort)
As the description above suggests, there are three versions of Voldemort that can be unlocked and bought to unlock this achievement. These are:
- Professor Quirrell (Voldemort)
- Tom Riddle
- Voldemort

Quidditch Team
Buy the entire Gryffindor Quidditch team from Book One
You need to find and buy all seven players of the Gryffindor Quidditch team. The characters you need to buy are:
- Oliver Wood- Fred (Quidditch)
- George (Quidditch)
- Harry (Quidditch)
- Alicia Spinnet
- Angelina Johnson
- Katie Bell

Back In Time
Use the Time-Turner
When free roaming through Hogwarts you can find grandfather clocks, which Hermione can use the with the Time Turner. When you use it for the first time this achievement will unlock. Time Turner clocks can be found in Hagrid’s garden, the Quidditch pitch, the Owlery and the Clocktower.
Building Blocks
Complete all the LEGO Builder tutorial levels
When you have played through your first bonus level, which can be found in Gringotts, you will unlock the tutorials for build mode. When you have done this, pick up one of the bricks in a vault to access the first one. Run through all four of the short tutorials and the achievement will unlock.
Good Dog
Defeat 20 enemies with Fang
Play through a level on free play as Fang and kill 20 enemies. The best way to do this is to play through the Forbidden Forest level and use the wasp hive at the beginning. Don’t destroy the hive so it keeps regenerating wasps and keep killing them until you unlock the achievement.
Lumos Solem
Destroy 50 Devil’s Snare plants
This achievement is best to go for as you play through. As the title suggests you must use Lumos Solem on 50 Devil’s Snare plants throughout the game. If you get to the end and still do not have the achievement, then play through any level that has a lot of devil’s snare on it (such as the Forbidden Forest) and run through destroying them. I don’t think you will need to though because I have played through twice and both times I got it while playing.
Wonderful Weasleys
Buy the entire Weasley family
There are 7 Weasleys in all to find and buy for this achievement. The Weasley characters are:
- Arthur Weasley
- Molly Weasley
- Percy Weasley
- Fred Weasley
- George Weasley
- Ron Weasley
- Ginny Weasley

*Note* Some of the characters have more than one token to unlock. I think you cannot use just any token but need to unlock the one with their full name in it. For example, purchase Fred Weasley rather than Fred (Quidditch).
Quirrell Quandary
Defeat Quirrell in the Quirrell boss fight, using Voldemort
To get this achievement you will need to unlock the Voldemort character (see “Dark Wizards to find out how to unlock him), then play through the “Face of the Enemy” level on free play. Kill Quirrell at the end with Voldemort and the achievement will unlock.
Multiplier
Collect 10 million studs in one level
The only way to get this achievement is to unlock some of the Score multiplier bricks. When you have enough of them play through any free play level and collect lots of studs to unlock the achievement.
Arachnophobic
Defeat 20 spiders with Ron
Throughout the game you can find small spiders running around here and there. You can use kill them to get the achievement. Or you can use Ron to kill the larger spiders on the level Follow the Spiders. If you want to get this achievement in one go you can keep killing the spiders that spawn when you are fighting Aragog until you get it.
Chilled Out
Freeze 20 characters using Glacius
There are several spells that can be bought from a shop in Diagon Alley, one of those is Glacius. All jinxes can be found at the top of the wheel that shows your spells. You need to hit 20 people with the Glacius to get the achievement.
If you are struggling to get this achievement it might be worth buying Glacius before any other spell so you have more chance of hitting a character with this one because the jinx spells you have bought rotate through.
Boo!
Scare 20 students using a ghost character
This is a simple achievement to get. Purchase any of the ghost characters and use them to scare people around the castle. The available ghost characters are:
- Nearly Headless Nick
- The Fat Friar
- The Grey Lady
- The Bloody Baron
- Professor Binns
- Moaning Myrtle (& Swimsuit)
- Lily Potter (Ghost)
- James Potter (Ghost)

Animagus
Unlock all Animagi
There are a few characters in the game that can change into animals. These are known as Animagus and you need to buy all of them for this achievement. The Animagi are:
- Peter Pettigrew
- Sirius Black
- Professor Lupin
- James Potter (not sure if this one counts, let me know if you know different)
- Professor McGonagall
- Rita Skeeter

Defeating The Object
Defeat the mountain troll, using Quirrell
Play through “Out of the Dungeon’ in free play and defeat the troll at the end using Professor Quirrell. You can use either Professor Quirrell or the Professor Quirrell (Voldemort) token to get this achievement.
Solid Snape
Hide in a barrel as Snape
There are barrels placed around the castle that can be used to hide in. Unlock Snape and play as him, then press B when you come across a barrel to climb inside it and the achievement will unlock.
Role Reversal
Defeat Harry (as Voldemort), in the Graveyard
When you have unlocked Voldemort you need to kill Harry at the end of the level “The Dark Lord Returns”. To do this you may need to use 2 controllers (and maybe have someone play along with you) or you can switch between characters at the end of the level so you can make sure one character is Voldemort and the other is any version of Harry. To kill Harry you must use Voldemort’s Avada Kedavra spell. This is the green one on the spell wheel, just right of the top one.
Quiet Please!
Turn the sound and music down to 0 in the options menu whilst in the library
When free roaming around Hogwarts, go into the library then open the menu and go to options. Turn the volume all the way down to 0 and turn off the music. Go back out of the menu and the achievement will unlock.
Muggle Trouble
Defeat 10 enemies with a Muggle character
There are several muggle characters that can be unlocked throughout the game. When you have unlocked one, go into any level that regenerates enemies (such as the
Forbidden Forest) and get the muggle to hit the enemies by pressing the B and kill them. Do this to 10 enemies and the achievement unlocks.
Quick Quidditch
Complete the Quidditch level within five minutes
You must run through and complete “A Jinxed Broom” in under 5 minutes. This is can be done alone with a bit of practice but is easier if you can get someone to use a second controller and run through with you.
Ghostly Treasure
Collect 500 ghost studs
When playing through on story mode you can get Nearly Headless Nick to show you where you need to go by leaving a trail of ghost studs. Collect 500 of these for the achievement. (You do not need to have “Collect Ghost Studs: unlocked to get this achievement)
