As with all other Lego games, there are gold bricks to be found in this game. However, there are only 85 in Lego Pirates of the Caribbean, as opposed to some other games that usually have in excess of 100+.

Nearly all of the bricks are awarded for achieving certain things in the levels, 80 of them in fact. his post gives you a breakdown of all the gold bricks, and how to collect them.
- 20 bricks for completing each level in story mode.
- 20 bricks for reaching True Pirate in each level of the story.
- 20 bricks for finding all eight compass items within the story levels.
- 20 bricks for completing each minikit in all the story levels.
- 1 brick for completing every minikit in film 1, Curse of the Black Pearl. Collect it form the end of the minikit pier for film 1.
- 1 brick for completing every minikit in film 2, Dead Man’s Chest. Collect it form the end of the minikit pier for film 2.
- 1 brick for completing every minikit in film 3, At World’s End. Collect it form the end of the minikit pier for film 3.
- 1 brick for completing every minikit in film 4, On Stranger Tides. Collect it form the end of the minikit pier for film 4.
- 1 brick for completing the bonus level. When you have 84 gold bricks, you can build a mast in the hub, to open a gate for accessing the bonus level.
